Blue Lizard Reptiles do not at any point store customer card details on our server, or anywhere else unless requested to do so by the customer.

Pricing and Sales

Orders are only accepted online for UK sales.

Placement of a telephone order constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

All prices on our website are inclusive of VAT but exclusive of delivery charges.

The total price for the goods and delivery on your order will be stated at the time of order(unless excess delivery charges are required - applies to certain areas).

We are entitled to adjust our prices at any time including the change in price being due to an error or omission in the price published for the goods. If this occurs we will notify you of the correct price and give you the chance to cancel your order.

All goods remain the property of Blue Lizard Reptiles until full payment is made and goods are delivered to the customer.

All payments made through either Worldpay payment service or PayPal are made using GBP currency.

We accept the following methods of payment:

Online ... MasterCard, Visa, V.me, Maestro, JCB, PayPal
In-Store ... Cash, Diners, MasterCard, Visa, Amex, Maestro, JCB, Solo

In all cases payment must be received in full before goods will be dispatched.


Delivery

We aim to deliver all orders within 3-5 days of purchase. However, for items that are not currently in stock the delivery time may sometimes be longer.

We aim to despatch all orders received by 12 noon Monday to Friday on the same day. Orders received after 12noon will be dispatched the next working day. Orders received on Saturday or Sunday will be dispatched on the following Monday.

If your goods are not received within 18 days, please contact us.

All goods must be checked for damages and missing items upon delivery. Any damages or missing items must be reported to us within 24 hours of receipt of goods.

Blue Lizard Reptiles dry goods orders will incur a delivery charge of £4.99 (FREE for orders over £50.00). Some postcodes will incur an extra delivery charge. We will contact you by telephone or email after you have ordered if additional charges will apply.

Livestock and frozen food orders will be couriered by next day delivery for a charge of £15.99. Livestock and frozen food orders incur a £15.99 charge regardless of the size of the order. Some postcodes will incur an extra delivery charge. We will contact you by telephone or email after you have ordered if additional charges will apply.

Livefood only orders will be charged at £3.99 delivery(FREE for orders over £50.00). Some postcodes will incur an extra delivery charge. We will contact you by telephone or email after you have ordered if additional charges will apply.

In the event of a livestock or frozen food delivery not having arrived by 3pm on the agreed day, customers are obliged to inform us of the problem with delivery immediately by telephone. Failure to inform us of a delayed delivery of livestock or frozen foods by this time will invalidate any guarantee of safe arrival of livestock/frozen goods, and customers will not be entitled to a replacement of their order.

Blue Lizard Reptiles denies any liability for any loss resulting from damaged or faulty items, or late delivery.

We will despatch your goods by the most appropriate method. This may be by royal mail, or by a courier company. We will ensure that your goods are correctly packaged before dispatch but cannot accept liability for damage sustained by their subsequent treatment.

Delivery of your parcel will be attempted once. If a delivery cannot be made the parcel will be returned to the sorting office/courier's depot for collection by yourself.

Frozen foods are sold subject to availability. Orders will be despatched on the basis of first come first served.

Frozen food orders will be despatched Monday to Thursday. You will be contacted by telephone prior to dispatch to ensure you will be available to receive delivery. Orders received on Friday, Saturday or Sunday will be despatched the following week. An email will be sent to the customer informing them of the dispatch of their order.

Delivery of frozen foods will be by recorded delivery. Blue Lizard Reptiles will package any frozen foods to arrive still frozen. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that somebody is available at the delivery address to receive a frozen food order. Blue Lizard Reptiles accepts no responsibility for frozen food orders which are defrosted/spoiled because nobody was available to receive the delivery.

In the unlikely event that your frozen food order does not reach you in satisfactory condition contact us within 24 hours of receipt. We cannot replace or exchange any frozen food reported back to us after this 24 hour period.

We reserve the right to postpone delivery of any frozen food or livestock orders which are placed during extreme weather conditions e.g. flood, deep snow, heat wave.

Delivery of livefoods will usually be by royal mail, and will be sent first class. Usually, this will result in next day delivery, but this cannot be guaranted. If you wish to have your live foods delivered by special delivery, please contact us before placing an order. Special delivery will incur an extra cost.

We reserve the right to postpone live stock deliveries if the overnight temperatures are not favourable.

Livestock will be delivered in appropriate packaging for the weather/time of year. Live stock is guaranteed for 48 hours from delivery. Any problems with livestock on arrival must be reported immediately. In the event of an animal dieing in transit or within 48 hours of delivery, we will require photographic evidence of the dead animal before a refund or replacement is given.


Returns

Blue Lizard Reptiles returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.

If you wish to cancel your order within 7 days of receipt, please contact us at contact@bluelizardreptiles.co.uk, or telephone: 01909 518808. Returned products must be in perfect condition. Blue lizard reptiles will send you an email authorising you to return the goods. No goods will be accepted prior to the customer receiving an authorisation email. This email must be printed and retained as proof of authorisation for the return of goods.

Blue Lizard Reptiles accepts cancellation of orders on the basis that the customer shall reimburse us in full against all loss (including loss of profit), costs (including the cost of all labour and materials used), damages, charges and expenses incurred by Blue Lizard Reptiles as a result of cancellation.

The products being returned must be well packaged to avoid damage. We recommend returning the products by a signed for delivery service.

Blue Lizard Reptiles will not accept goods were sent for return by a customer without proof of delivery to us or a receipt from a carrier.

When products have been returned to Blue Lizard Reptiles in good condition we will issue a full refund for the products. We will not pay the cost of your return postage.

Return of goods after 7 days is at the discretion of Blue Lizard Reptiles.

Products guaranteed by a manufacturer can be returned to us, if they are faulty, for exchange or refund during the warranty period. All products will be tested upon return. Blue Lizard Reptiles reserve the right to make a restocking charge of 12% if we accept back goods which are not found to be faulty.

Bespoke goods and perishables i.e. magazines, books, tortoise tables, vivariums etc. cannot be returned for refund unless faulty or damaged.

Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you have a duty to take reasonable care of any goods you receive. Under circumstances where this duty has been breached by yourselves, you will be liable for any costs or losses incurred by Blue Lizard Reptiles.

WEEE Regulations

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive) was introduced in January 2007 by the Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment Regulations 2006.

The WEEE Directive aims to reduce the amount of electrical and electronic equipment being produced and to encourage everyone to reuse, recycle and recover it.

Blue Lizard Reptiles are obliged therefore to offer our customers free disposal of their WEEE when you purchase a new electrical or electronic product.

Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 14 days of purchasing their new item.

Items can be returned to store, or posted back to us, but we will not accept returns of WEEE without a copy of the receipt or invoice for the similar purchased item.
