Delivery FAQ
When will my order be delivered?

Delivery is usually within 1-3 days from the point of ordering. For livestock and frozen orders we will always contact you prior to despatch to check someone will be available for delivery.

You will receive an email from us as soon as we dispatch your order.

We check the weather before dispatching any livestock or frozen orders to make sure your order will not be too cold or hot during transit. You may experience a delay if the weather is not suitable for us to transport your order.

For safe travel for livestock in cold weather, we need the overnight temperature to be 5 degrees C or above. We monitor the weather on a daily basis for all areas of the country where we have orders to dispatch, and dispatch as soon as the weather allows.

If you have any queries about your order then please contact us quoting your invoice number.

What are the delivery charges?

The delivery charges are calculated based on the contents of your order.

Orders over 50 are FREE delivery (excluding orders containing any Livestock or Frozen Food)

Dry Goods - 4.99
Live Food only - 3.99
Frozen Goods - 15.99
Invertebrates - 15.99

Other Livestock:-
England & Wales - 50.00
Southern Scotland - 55.00
Northern Scotland (not offshore) - 65.00

For example, if your order contained live food, dry goods, and was less than 50, you would pay 4.99. If your order contained dry goods and frozen food you would pay 15.99.

Does the delivery charge apply to all areas of the UK?

Some of the more remote locations may incur an extra delivery charge. If you are unsure if this might apply to your location then contact us and we can let you know.

Do you deliver livestock to all areas of the UK?

We can deliver invertebrates to any part of the UK. For other livestock we can deliver to locations in England, Wales & Mainland Scotland. Please contact us directly with your location if you are looking for a non-invertebrate livestock delivery.

What areas do you deliver non-livestock products to?

We can deliver dry goods, live food and frozen food to anywhere in the UK.

Will the livestock I order by safe during delivery?

All our livestock orders are packed into insulated boxes with heat packs when required to maintain the animals temperature whilst in transit.

How will I know when my livestock will arrive? Can I specify a day and time for delivery?

We contact all customers who order livestock to arrange delivery. This is to ensure someone will be available to receive delivery.

We can arrange delivery for a specific day but due to traffic we cannot specify a time.

Which delivery company do you use?

Delivery will normally be with either Royal Mail, Parcel Force or TNT. We do occasionally use other couriers, especially to more remote locations and for some of our livestock deliveries.

Will the frozen food I order be kept frozen during transit?

All frozen items that we dispatch are packed in insulated boxes with ice packs to maintain a cool temperature whilst in transit.

Is it possible for me to come to the store to collect my animal?

Yes, you can pick any livestock up from the store if you would prefer to do so.
